Karen Lynch

Pegasus

Crystal Skull

Crashing Wave (or whales tail...)

Hey Everyone,

It appears that on Lulu.com, although we are in a group together, we can only view each others published works, not the works in progress. This being the case, I'll describe what's going on with my book.
I've settled on a book format. I'll be doing the 8.25 x 10.75 and have uploaded 5 formatted photographs so far. I will be laying out the book in landscape, which means the cover will have to be lifted upwards rather than turning to the left. I couldn't find a landscape option. Please let me know if any of you have found one. I have not worked on any of the text for these photos, however I will be taking your advise regarding the text and will post samples next week. As the layout goes, I will have the photo laying flat, and the text on the page that is lifted up. Today's samples are interior page photographs.

Well wishes to all,

Karen

Your pictures go into a great depth. The descriptions that you give matches each picture perfectly. Keep up the good work Karen.

Hi Karen, these photos are beautiful, I also like the text and your title a lot. Is it me or the photos aren't as clear as the ones in your blog? I feel like the ones in your blog have more clarity and definition. Like your new picture with the hat (it's great btw). Do you zoom when you take the pictures of the sky? Because that could be it. I don't know, may be you could look into it see what's going on?
Obviously you can take great quality pictures so there must be something going on that's keeping you from that.
Good job Karen,
Hope you are having a great summer

Your pictures are very captivating. Have you decided on a different cover or are you using the previos one you had? I'm interested in seeing the text added to it. Looooking goood!

Karen,

Your photographs need a bit more clarity and contrast. I can tell what shapes are presented in the sky, but I think they would be easier to distinguish with a few photo edits. Also, when you're taking photographs, be mindful of cropping. It is distracting to see part of a tree in the pegasus photo. I think your idea is wonderful, just fix-up the rough spots so everything looks more like a polished product. I'm looking forward to reading the other texts.

I love how you are finding objects in the sky. That is wonderful. My biggest problem is cropping. It could just be me, but I want only the sky in each picture. I feel like the pictures need a bit of tinkering. Like Jeannine said maybe play with the contrast. Keep up the good work!

Karen,

I love the text that goes with the pictures. It takes me to another place than my original thought ...the power of text. The book as a whole is looking nice, keep up the good work.
