Karen Lynch

Hey Everyone,
I've got some text for you. Let me know if this font is working for you. I really like it's etherial feel. I haven't got the new cover done yet, haven't picked the right photo. I've cropped the Pegasus photo to exclude the trees and have tried to fix the image. I used an older camera and the lack of quality shows. Unfortunately, I cannot arange the clouds like that again;) I've got 3 for you with the text pages to go with them.
Here goes,

The pages will appear with the text page coming before the photo page as the book is open flat.
So that's it for tonight. Have a good one everyone.
Karen

I don't really like the font. And actually I don't like it on the pictures. I kind of want your imaged to be like a window. lay the text one the window's ledge. But that's just me. It seems like you have a lot of good solid pictures! keep up the good work!

I agree.
The photos are beautiful, but I am bothered by the font on top of them.
I really want you to visit Dafont.com and tool around. There are some great fonts to choose from.

I like that your are trying to tell us a story, but it does not seem as ethereal as it seems spiritual, with the mention of angels.
I would be careful with that--unless you want to evoke the motivational calendar in the viewers brain. (that is where my head went)

Maybe replace "angel" with "Pegasus" so that the image and font has a relationship.

But I also just liked it when you showed us a picture, and then gave us a word/title so that our brains could search and fill in the blanks.

The photos are lovely. You are nailing that. Just get the font and text down and you are set.
x,
val

Hey Karen,
Although your pictures are beautiful, I am not feeling the font. It feels disconnected and not one with the picture. I don't think the font should be on the picture but rather off the picture and maybe below it. Good Luck! The pictures are great!

I agree with the majority on the font. The font itself and the placement should be toyed around with a bit more. I look forward to seeing your updates, Karen.

Hi Karen,

I'm sure you are sick of hearing about font, but I do agree with everyone- it should be toyed with. I was thinking that it could be exciting if you put the font on a solid page (before or after images) to separate images and text completely. It would be like a premonition (a pleasant one) of the wonderful images to come. Think about it. :)
