Jessica Emrick

Newest of the bunch:

I am having issues with grey pictures. I will try taking some brown and grey outside as well as looking for items at a thrift store.

I have the layout set up in indesign and this is how the book will flow:
Lay out [INSIDE]
1- title page

2-3 define: "Belonging to neither kind; not one thing or the other."
3-4 dark brown
5-6 medium/mixed brown
7-8 light brown

9-10 define: "possessing no distinctive quality or characteristics"
11-12 beige
13-14 white
15-16 grey/white

17-18 define: "Neither good nor bad; not decided or pronounced"
19-20 light grey
21-22 medium grey
23-24 dark grey

25-26 define: "Not electrically charged"
27-28 grey/black
29-30 black
31-32 black

33 artist statement or final words (not sure)

Jessica,

Your layout seems pretty solid. Keep taking pictures and make sure you color correct if needed. What is the final decision on book type?

I really enjoy your first photo because it is very unique. I like how you have divided your book into sections with the definitions. Keep up the good work.

I like your photos very much Jessica, good job. The only thing I think you should be careful about is the neatness of the objects. The black image has something a little dirty in it, and I feel like it's distracting because the other objects in other pictures are so clean.
Other than that, looking GREAT.

This is looking really good Jessica!
Keep it up! I am digging the text that you are using to divide up the info. I appreciate that wry abstractness. Interesting!

Images look good--but yes--keep your images and objects clean!

Hi Jessica,

Nice organization of your layout. I like the curves and smoothness of the "white2" image.

Keep on keepin' on,

Karen
