Hi Jessica,
This is a cool concept. Will you be using mirrors for all of your photos, or will you be using other reflective surfaces as well?
Good Luck with it:)
Karen
Jessica,
This concept could easily be meshed with your former book idea if you play your cards right. I like the mirror in these images and the fact that the mirror is not the same in both pictures. I would suggest taking a massive mirror, breaking it to shards, and just going to town. You'll have a different shard in every picture making everything unique. I would try to work a little more on image clarity, but other than that, nice progress.

"Reflect" is a very common theme. I remember this from my high school lit magazine teacher. However, I really like the cover picture except for the "photography by..." part. It's hard to see and when noticed it become distracting. "Reflect" looks etched on the mirror, and the mirror looks a bit like a sail boat. For your second picture look into dodge and burn tools. Dodge makes things lighter and burn darker. This is the terminology used in traditional film development, but photoshop has tools to do essentially the same thing digitally. Try and use the dodge tool around the green area. You can also select that area and go into image- adjustments and play with the curves of that area. just make sure you have a background layer copy of the original image. You can turn it off so you can't see it, but it should still be there incase you mess up. I'm not against the mirror idea. I just want you to name it something different. Think about the differences between the reflection and the area around it. See if anything comes from it. These pictures are wonderful. They are much better than the last ones. Good job!

I dig this idea sweetie, but we have to work on another cover.
The font is too sweet, girly and small.
Go see Rezvan, She can show you how to make hollow text so that you can put your reflection into it! Thom can show you too. I bet Sam can as well.
Sophisticate that cover, and the rest is just a matter of getting the images. I like the idea a great deal!
Val
I agree with Val, thefont is all wrong. The photos are working well. Nice idea behind them too.
Rebekah
Yes, come see me if you like
I told Karen the same thing
I'll be glad to help, I'll show you some techniques and walk you through making a cover
:)
