So this is my first go at making a layout. The pictures are my first go at them as well.
My idea in a nut shell:
I will be taking pictures of the ends of roads. Dead ends seem to be the easiest to take pictures. I hope to create a layout based on each individual photograph. I think my biggest difficulty is creating a beautiful picture from each place. I also hope to get images from Mississippi and Alabama.

I think you have a good idea with the pictures of dead ends. I would maybe suggest to take photos in more secluded areas. Also, try different lighting situations like sunset etc. to add to the beauty. Some road signs that actually say 'dead end' or 'no trespassing' might be intriguing or it may not. I'd like to see these variations.

I like the idea. Try and make each photo unique in its own way. Since they are all going to be dead-ends in the same part region, try and mix up what will be included in your photos. Over all a great idea!

Jessica, Babydoll,
You need to take some photographs of roads that are OUT OF THIS WORLD! I love the concept, and in order for you to make it amazing, you should really incorporate some of your own writing into the piece. You're doing this project on the ends of roads. How does it make you feel? TELL ME!!!!!
If you could take pictures of these roads and present them in a way that seems magical and amazing, I'd be really baffled and into it! I want to feel what you feel when you see the ends of these roads!
Jessica, I know we're talking right now. Please don't sass me, ok? :X I know the picture is too red! And I noticed.

Get down on the ground! While the straight on shot is what most viewers can definitely relate to when encountering a dead in in their vehicle, I wonder how it would read if you were to take the picture while lying on your stomach.
The layout isn't really working for me -- I feel as though each picture is competing for attention. Play around with it a little more. I can't wait to see what you come up with. And I also agree with Jessica N. in that you should play with different daylight. Sunset would be nice and you'd get some variation in sky.
good luck!

I love the idea, it's very engaging. I can't wait to see if the photos will scare the hell out of me or make me feel like I am stepping into another land (like a road that stops but there begins another world) because dead end roads, THE REALLY GOOD ONES, do that to you. I think the kind of daylight you will do your photography in will be very important for this idea.
I have seen you use your imagination in your work before, and you're very good at it. I think this project could run on imagination of a new world too.
Also, thank you so much for wanting to help with my blog photography. I will let you know when I need help.

Hi Jessica,
I really like the dead end concept. Dead ends can have such meaning. Planned Dead Ends, Accidental Dead Ends, Re-directed Dead Ends. Will you be including any thoughts along with the images? By the way, there are two great dead ends in my neighborhood, one of which overlooks the water. Seaglades, off Gulf Beach. Let me know if you're interested in taking the shots. I'd love to say hi.
Have fun=)

I like the idea but I think you should explore all sorts of dead ends. Maybe go into downtown and find some interesting alleyways that lead to walls or conclaves or dead ends (like the end of south Palafox). Just try not to limit yourself and it'll be great I think :)
I like the idea but I think that if you shoot for having different types of things at the dead ends, it will make your work alot more appealing and interesting. Great idea though.

I believe I would enjoy the photos more if the environment in which they were taken varied more drastically from photo to photo. The dead ends with mailboxes are a bit boring in my opinion. This could definitely be a beautiful peice, I look forwad to the finished product.
